How to “cure” a cold…

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

Thanks to Silver Sinus, my trips to the doctor have been minimal for the last 7 to 10 years. Thanks to sinus infections, I used to see my doctors 4 or 5 times per year. Now, when I feel a sinus infection coming on, I start my treatment with Silver Sinus right away and within a couple days, I am 100%.

In the last few of years, I’ve started doing the same treatement whenever I felt a cold coming on or when someone in my house caught a cold with much success!

Over these years I’ve developed a regimen to combat a cold and I’d like to share that with you. At the first sign of cold, I’ll do the following:

  • Use Silver Sinus 3 to 4 times throughout the day.
  • Drink Airbourne (or a generic equivalent) 3 to 4 times per day
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Use a Neti Pot to do a nasal rinse (nasal irrigation)
  • Mist Silver Sinus into my mouth just enough to be able to gargle with it for about 30 seconds just before I go to bed

At first glance it may sound like quite an undertaking but it really only accounts for a few minutes per day. BUT according to wikipedia, the common cold lasts on average 7 to 10 days but some symptoms can last up to 3 weeks!

Granted wikipedia states there is no cure but all I know is that within days, I’m feeling great with no sign of a cold. My daughter recently caught a cold and just did the silversinus and neti pot elements listed above and within 3 days was almost 100%.

I don’t intend to get into the semantics of what “cure” means. But I do know this: Having a cold is no fun and if there is anything you can do to shorten the duration into a couple or few days, then I’m all for it! And if it is a NATURAL remedy, then that’s even better in my humble opinion.

Wish you all the best and hope you can reduce or “cure” any cold you may catch in this season.
